Virginia Beach police have arrested a Sunday school teaching assistant after reports of sexual abuse from a child in his class, police said in a news release.
Shea Mathew Huffman, 18, has been charged with custodial indecent liberties and forcible sodomy. Huffman worked at Calvary Assembly of God at 4925 Providence Road. The alleged abuse occurred from January 2008 and June 2009, police said.
Huffman was arrested Friday at his home in the 5200 block of Lowery Downs, and investigators said there may be more victims. A photo is not being released. If more victims are found, a photo lineup would be necessary, said police spokeswoman Margie Long.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 385-5000 and speak with the Special Victims Unit.
