The Virginia Lottery and the Washington Redskins unveiled a new $50,000,000 “Redskins Mania” scratch ticket that will go on sale in August, in time for the start of the 2009 football season.
This is one of the first to be launched by a state lottery and an NFL team, according to a news release from the Virginia Lottery, taking advantage of a new NFL rule that allows teams to sign licensing deals with state-sponsored lotteries.
The $20 ticket offers a chance to instantly win $20 to $1 million. There is also a second chance drawing where nonwinning tickets may be submitted at www.valottery.com for the chance to win several experiences, such as premium club tickets for 20 years at FedEx Field, VIP away game travel with the team to Dallas on the team plane and bus on Nov. 22, a luxury suite for 19 friends at a home game and a chance to join the Redskins' team roster as a player for a day.
Tickets go on sale during the Redskins' training camp in Ashburn on Aug. 3-8. They will also be sold at nearly 5,000 Virginia Lottery outlets.

Theory
This just goes to proove most everyone's oppinion about the Lottery, and that theory is " Lottery" is for education purposes... but as seen here ... VA Lottery can do with it how they please. It's not just for education, it's for what ever the "Lottery Commission" wants to use it for... here's an idea ... why doesn't the "Lottery" use the funds from all Lottery proceeds to fix the freakin roads in VA. Oh wait ... that would make since.. or how about using the money to fix a few buildings for shelter for the needy and the homeless? Again that would make since.
Oh!! Here's one ... how about for the EDUCATION !!! Now there's an idea !!!
