A 6-year-old boy was flown to a hospital Friday night after suffering serious injuries in an ATV accident, Suffolk police said.
The accident happened in the 200 block of Bott Lane, a police news release said. Someone took the injured child to Holland Volunteer Fire Department, where he was unresponsive, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.
“There was an adult and another child on the ATV at the time of the incident,” George said. It was not immediately clear if the adult or one of the children was the operator of the ATV.
The boy was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and was in serious but stable condition, George said. Police are investigating.
