Deeds-McDonnell debate to be streamed live on Web

The Virginia Bar Association's July 25 gubernatorial debate between Democrat Creigh Deeds and Republican Bob McDonnell will be broadcast live online through a deal with Style Weekly, an alternative newsweekly in Richmond.

The debate is to be held at The Homestead resort in Hot Springs.

Debate viewers will be able to participate in an online discussion during the debate and submit questions that the debate moderator may pose to the candidates. Participation will be available through VirginiaTalks.com, a Web site that Style Weekly plans to launch.

The weekly publication is owned by Landmark Media Enterprises LLC, the parent company of The Virginian-Pilot.
