The Air Force will spray several areas next week for mosquitoes, a news release says.

Spraying will happen from 6 to 9 p.m. July 7 to 9, the release says.

The areas to be sprayed include Langley, Bethel Manor housing, Hampton, Fort Eustis, York County and the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station, Poquoson, Newport News, Fort Monroe, Craney Island and parts of Portsmouth, the release says.

A C-130 Hercules will spray Dibrom Concentrate and will fly as low as 150 feet, the release says. The flights will include training.

Anyone who may be allergic to the substance should stay indoors during the time that spraying is scheduled. Beekeepers are being asked to keep their bees covered.

Updates will be provided by telephone during the dates the spraying is scheduled. For updates, call (757) 225-5591.
