Seriously?
We continue to see an incredible amount of heat around Sarah Palin these days, especially now with her strange resignation performance. As a Democrat, I don't hate her; I recognize her for her limitations she is not now and will never be ready for a national political stage. What she symbolizes, however, is the sorry state of the Republican Party, which would bolster the potential of such a novice. John McCain demonstrated his lack of readiness for the presidency in choosing her as his running mate, and the GOP continues its amateur-hour behavior in its focus on her as a serious voice for conservatism.
Palin for president? Sure, run her in 2012. Make my day, GOP.

She's referred to as..
a 'novice' by the letter's author, but what exactly do we have occupying 1600 PA Ave right now?
Guy give it up
you are making a terrible argument. Unless you kept your head in the sand for the last year and a half, then Palin is a pro, and ride that 80+% approval rating in AK to 2012. But remember, Kaine was called a rookie because he was just mayor of Richmond. Then compare the population of RVA and AK. Guy, you make better arguments than this one, don't hang your hat here...
How's it a terrible argument?
Let's take YOUR points, shall we? What's the population of Delaware? What was the population of Arkansas when Clinton ran? What does size of the population of any state have to do with anything here? You need to find someone else to do your thinking for you AM. The hypocrisy of your argument is exceeded only by the stupidity of it!
Tell that to Karl Rove
He was the one who criticized Kaine. Then oddly enough, praised Palin for her vast executive experience. Like I said guy, don't hang your hat here, that point is a loser. People should treat Palin like a stock - get out before it hits zero. Isn't it priceless that she offered herself out to democrats?
No AM, YOU tell that to Rove...
or anyone else for that matter. You're going to whine because a prominent Republican does what all prominent Dems do in talking down their opponents, as Rove did about Kaine (I'm taking your word on that for the sake of the discussion)? YOU continue to ignore the hypocrisy of your own points. YOU brought up the population of Alaska, a typical Dem Party supplied talking point for people like you who have trouble thinking for yourself, while conveniently ignoring the size, population wise, of states that have produced some high office holders from your side in recent years.
You and yours continue to make the points others have made, especially myself, at your total, complete, and undeniable obsession with her. I agree that it IS priceless, and incredibly smart, to offer support for those Dems, and you know they're out there, who share many of her same values. She sure is laying down a platform for bi-partisanship, a word your uber-leftist media eats up, well, when it's convenient for the cadidates of THEIR choice.
I brought up the population of AK
because Rove made his attack on Kaine prior to Palin getting the VP nod. You don't have to take my word on it, you can feel free to look it up. You see, the problem with bad arguments is that they blow up in your face. Since you don't seem to remember, here is a link. Note the date of the story.

and for Rove's 180:

I don't disagree ith your point....
about bad arguments, and I ask, do you still have use of your eyes, given how many of yours have indeed exploded in your face? I don't need to look up what Rove said, I took your word for it. And Rove's statements about Kaine are relevant...how so? Rove is a partisan political operative. The same such operatives on the Dem side talked up Kaine's qualifications (when he was considered a Veep candidate) as well as others, like Biden, while talking down Palin and everyone else from the other side. That's politics. What part of that do you not understand? If you want, we can examine what Hillary and Biden said about Obama while they were both trying to get the Dem nomination. I remember "clean and speaks well for a black man" (not an exact quote, but certainly words to that effect) by Biden about Obama. Again, what's your point? If you're going to hate Palin's experience because of the size of the state she ran, you just GOTTA hate Biden for the same criteria, right? And Palin DID have to govern the largest state area wise in the nation. I'm sure you and yours will obligingly bad mouth that, but that fact is still undeniable!
Occupant of 1600 PA ave.
Oh, we have a guy who has a BA from Columbia and a law degree from Harvard.
But I can see why you would feel the need to compare him to the scholarly
journey of Hawaii Pacific College in Honolulu --> North Idaho College --> University of Idaho --> Matanuska-Susitna College--> University of Idaho.
Funny..
we had a guy with a masters in business from Yale, who served multiple terms as a governor (that actual executive experience thing, kind of what Palin has), and all we ever heard from the usual leftist suspects was how unqualified he was! But here, we have a law degree combined with time spent as a community organizer and a partial term as a Senator. Yes, I can see the basis for the love affair!
I'll take the actual executive anytime. That's just me...Silly me!
Bush drifted throughYale on his legacy
Not his scholarly accomplishments. It's well documented.
