U.S. Humane Society launches dogfighting tip line

The Humane Society of the United States has launched a new national tip line to report animal fighting with possible rewards of up to $5,000.

The rewards are being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction in dogfighting and cockfighting cases, according to a news release from the animal welfare organization.

The rewards are made possible by a grant the organization received from Holland M. Ware Charitable Foundation, the organization announced.

The number, 877-TIP-HSUS (847-4787) was established after the agency announced that it had assisted law enforcement authorities in the largest single series of raids on dogfighting operations in the nation’s history.

More than 400 dogs confiscated during the raids will be evaluated to determine if they can be placed with rescue groups or offered for permanent adoption, the release says.

I know "blood sport" makes for catchy headlines and soundbites but pretty much everything we touch in life consists of blood, sweat, joy, tears, triumph, loss, injury and death. those are parts of life for everything living on this planet. and remember that steak you eat tonight is nothing BUT blood, veins, tissue and muscle - and you're ingesting it! so many of you fall prey to the overly-hyped, emotionally provocative sound bites, and propaganda -but try actually contemplating what your role should really be when intruding in the lives of other free, adult americans. judge not, lest thou be judged.

I think eating meat is disgusting, and maybe even despicable, so how do you feel about me wanting to make you a criminal for it?

yeah I know, what a far fetched idea.

well let's talk rodeo, hunting and how about lab testing and dog/horse racing? The "humane" society not only does not actually operate one single shelter or spay/neuter program, they also want to suppress and possibly prohibit each and every example listed above.

they've started with those "disgusting dogfighters" as who would defend them?
next is the rodeo and hunting and what "average" american meat eater won't think 'well I'm not some nutty survivalist/hunter/cowboy'. when they finally come for yours no one else will be left as you sheep will have allowed this corrupt organization to drive each group over the edge one...by...one. divided and conquered.

people should try to return to a time when we minded our own business more. there's plenty I can be judgmental about with others but if they aren't directly affecting me I'm certainly not wanting to legislate against them.

Dogfighting needs to stop. Now.

Dogfighting is a despicable activity, and a toll-free hotline will provide an important tool in the fight to eliminate this blood sport.

this isn't new and just continues the H$U$ pattern of lies and deceit if it suits them.

you can't trust anything they say, so believe their BS at your own peril!

hunters, rodeo and meat eating is on their list to completely annihilate too.
I hope YOU don't like any of those while you're buying their line hook and sinker as if so you're hobby/lifestyle is next.
