Va. lawyer nominated for western district U.S. attorney

RICHMOND

A Virginia lawyer has been nominated by President Barack Obama to become U.S. attorney for the state’s western district.

Timothy Heaphy has worked in private practice since 2006. He previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the western district of Virginia and in Washington, D.C.

Heaphy is a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School.
