Expect plenty of sunshine for the early part of the weekend.

Winds will shift to the south today driving high temperatures closer to normal, generally in the mid- to upper 80s.

It will be a beautiful day to head to the beach today. The UV index is 9 and wave heights in the surf zone should average 2 to 3 feet.

There is a moderate risk of rip currents. Be very cautious in the water if you go out. The rip currents were strong today, and the elevated threat today should not be taken lightly.

Sunday will be warmer, close to 90 degrees, with lower 90s inland. There will also be more clouds Sunday, with a chance of isolated showers or storms.

The chances of isolated showers and storms will continue Monday afternoon into early Tuesday. A warm front will lift through the area midweek, bringing the return of steamy conditions Thursday. Isolated showers or storms may develop as well.
