E mail from Del. Phillip Hamilton to David A. Blackburn, director of the program who hired Hamilton,  sent on Thursday, Dec. 21,2006, at  8:46 a.m. regarding the teacher center

Dave - Below is an e-mail that I just sent to Dr. Runte.

Phil Hamilton

Dr. Runte - I enjoyed meeting with you and John yesterday. I sent him the information I have provided to the HAC stafffor the budget amendment. When we talked about the Center last August, I expressed an interest in being associated with the initiative from a professional perspective. Since then, I haven't heard anything more about an employment possibility. If possible, I would like to discuss this possibility with you prior to my leaving for the GA on January 8. 2007. Thank you for considering this request.

Bill

Phil sent me an email this AM re a request to meet with Roseann re his employment as Dream Center director.

Phil must feel he will get money and is ensuring that he has a home to go to if you recall, he only wanted a small part time deal.

Dave - 1 just double checked the date. The $500,000 is for FY 08 which begins on July 1. I do not know how funds are distributed to the colleges. Currently, my part-time salary with NPS is around 37,000. 1 need at least that amount from the ODU Foundation to have a part-time salary of $75,000 per year. Of course, more than that is always appreciated.

There is a saying "Sin

There is a saying "Sin boldly, that grace may abound." Hamilton could have written that, so bold was he with this arrangement. Wow....
