Several schools in region lauded as troop friendly

Several schools in the region have made G.I. Jobs magazine's 2010 list of Military Friendly Schools.

The magazine recognizes the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools for recruiting and retaining students with military experience. The schools also offer additional benefits such as credit for service and programs for military spouses.

Local schools include Bryant & Stratton College's Virginia Beach campus, ECPI College of Technology, Elizabeth City State University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University, Regent University, Thomas Nelson Community College, Tidewater Community College and Virginia Wesleyan College.
