Southampton County road reopens after train derailment

BOYKINS

A five-mile section of Va. 186 has reopened after a train derailed this morning in the town of Boykins, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

No delays were reported because of the closure, which stretched from Va. 35 to Va. 666, a VDOT news release says.

No injuries were reported, according to the Southampton County Sheriff's Office.

No details about the derailment were immediately available.
