Suffolk School Board to discuss state tests

The School Board meets at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss pandemic flu preparations and the division's academic performance on state assessments.

Superintendent Milton Liverman will present reports on state accreditation and adequate yearly progress based on standardized test scores and other factors. Schools and school divisions that make adequate yearly progress have met federal benchmarks under the No Child Left Behind Act.

The meeting will take place in City Council chambers on the second floor of the municipal center, 441 Market St.
