I saw that!!!

Ahno and Porque volunteer all over town, babysit grandkids, do projects, have far too much fun saying what they think.

Eek.

Yesterday at 4:40 A.M. I heard a lion roaring. The neighbor lady told me that she hears them from time to time but yesterday was a first for me. Chihuahuas and I were out for an early walk. Still dark. Total quiet. No traffic on my usually busy street. It was rainy, drizzle coming down.

I slopped along in my flip flops, half asleep when I heard it. Unmistakable. A lion. Yow! Instantly very wide awake, I stopped and listened. There it was again. Creeped me out. Oh. Then I remembered. The zoo’s down at the end of my street. But the lion sounded close and the zoo has to be half a mile distant.

Feeling silly, I nevertheless turned slowly, looking around. There, directly behind me was a neighbor’s big, fluffy cat. The cat was looking into my face.

For a split second I thought, “Was that you roaring?” Then, feeling sillier than ever, I rushed the dogs indoors.
