More than 4,000 participated in Va. Telework Day

Posted to: Business Environment News Virginia

More than 4,000 people in Virginia participated in a recent “Telework Day,” the governor’s office said Thursday.

The state encouraged workers to work from home on Aug. 3; federal employees and private sector employees numbered 2,286, and 1,765 state employees participated.

Those workers avoided driving an estimated 140,000 miles and removed 75.89 tons of pollutants from the air in that one day, the governor’s office said.
