Wearing robes, the Pin-Up Boys of Atlantic Shores Retirement Community signed autographs today at the unveiling of their nearly nude calendar.
Money from the calendar sales will go to the Princess Anne Courthouse Volunteer Rescue Squad. Male residents between the ages of 69 and 90 posed in July for a 2010 calendar to raise money.
Mayor Will Sessoms signed a proclamation today at the retirement home to mark the start of the fundraiser.
“I can hardly wait to move here and I’m going to be the calendar boys’ greatest fan, but I’ll be cheering from the audience,” Sessoms said in a ceremony at the clubhouse. “The cause is so dear to my heart. Nothing better than our volunteer rescue squad, anywhere.”
The calendar features the models, wearing rolled-up shorts, as they simulate nudity with strategically placed props.

Absurd......
Won't even comment on using supposed nudity to raise funds.....
These rescue squads continue to raise funds for what?
Many of the squads are not able to supply members sufficient to staff their ambulance 24/7, yet they continue to take the public's money.....
I'm all for their fund raiser if they also offer complete disclosure as to what hours their units are staffed.....WITH UNPAID volunteers as they want you to believe.
Save your money..... your tax dollars are paying for most of the folks you see in ambulances.
Buy a couple -- they're great!
I don't think these pitures are gross....I think they're witty and refreshing! Life is real, and so are these calendars! They're full of life, good humor, wonderful memories and friendship. For everyone who is able to laugh at themselves, and anyone who needs to laugh at his own vanity, these calendars do it. Who wouldn't like these warm-hearted guys smiling back at you every day ? It's like having your dad, your grandfather and Santa Claus all encouraging you to hang in there!
Fundraiser?
I agree, the cause is good.
But the pictures are GROSS!
Good luck.
