The Bruins bunched three second-half goals to deal the Warriors their first loss in a Southeastern District match.

Jessica Diaz scored two goals as the Bruins erased a 1-0 halftime deficit.

Nicole Pascale scored twice as the Hawks improved their record to 5-3-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the Southeastern District.

Boys volleyball

#2 Cox d. Landstown, 25-14, 25-22, 26-24

Timmy Broskus had five kills and Nick Sanders totaled 13 assists.

#3 First Colonial d. Tallwood, 25-23, 25-15, 25-15

The Patriots (5-2, 0-0) enjoyed a big night from Sammy Brennan, whose effort included 22 assists and 13 kills.

Ryan Stallard and John Bowman combined for 15 kills for the Patriots.

#5 Ocean Lakes d. #8 Princess Anne, 25-19, 25-23, 25-20

The Dolphins (6-1, 0-0 ) swept the Cavaliers.

Robert Marcotte was the defensive leader with 15 digs, while Cameron Hudson paced the offense with 11 kills.

#7 Maury d. Churchland, 25-10, 25-15, 25-17

Will Grimes pounded 18 kills and Joey Callahan made 28 assists as the Commodores (7-0, 3-0) remained unbeaten.

Kempsville d. Kellam, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21

Will Christie had 10 kills for the Chiefs.

Booker T. Washington d. Lake Taylor, 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-20

Quintin Upshur recorded 19 kills.

Norview d. Norcom, 25-6, 25-13, 25-9

Travis Ansell had 12 kills and Zach Lanphaer added 10 service points for the Pilots (5-2, 2-1).

Hickory d. Deep Creek, 25-18, 26-24, 25-19

David Cox made six digs, while Justin Mayfield and Austin Hlomes combined for six kills and six blocks.

Girls volleyball

#1 Princess Anne d. #6 Ocean Lakes, 25-23, 25-15, 25-23

The Cavaliers (6-2, 0-0) rode the serving of Courtney Hechinger and Nicole Barnes to a win over the Dolphins.

Hechinger totaled 18 service points, while Barnes delivered four aces.

Angie Barcus was another force for the Cavaliers, stroking seven kills.

#2 Cox d. Landstown, 25-14, 25-20, 25-13

Kelsey Page and Katie Case controlled the net for the Falcons (5-2, 0-0). Page produced eight blocks and six kills. Case added nine kills and three blocks.

Cox also thrived on 21 assists by Rachel Smith. Jenna Hugeback led Landstown with 15 assists, five kills and two blocks.

#3 Kellam d. Kempsville, 25-8, 25-16, 19-25, 25-17

Caroline Ford totaled five kills and four blocks, while Paxton Crooks added 22 assists.

#8 Hickory d. Deep Creek, 25-20, 25-12, 25-21

Katie Jarrett and Maddie Loper combined for 14 kills. Kaitlyn Griffin added seven blocks.

#9 First Colonial d. Tallwood, 25-19, 25-16, 26-24

#10 Granby d. Wilson, 25-11, 25-12, 25-17

Rebecca Sabo, Hannah Sater, and Alex Nash combined for 20 kills for the Comets.

Bayside d. Green Run, 25-17, 25-23, 25-10

Kirstin Sessoms had six kills, 11 aces and 13 assists for the Marlins.

Maury d. Churchland, 25-19, 25-27, 25-5, 25-19

Kim Joplin had eight kills and Lamesha Deal chipped in eight kills and eight aces.

Booker T. Washington d. Lake Taylor, 25-11, 25-16, 25-23

Chantal Dunbar and Kendra Wattson had six kills apiece, while Courtney Greer added eight aces for the Bookers (2-1).

Norview d. Norcom, 25-7, 25-16, 25-17

Rachael Simmons had 10 aces and seven kills for the Pilots.
