VIRGINIA BEACH

Police have arrested two men in a dozen burglaries that took place last month at the Mansards Apartments in Lakeview Park.

They arrested 24-year-old Robert Franco last week after finding some of the stolen property in his apartment, which is located on Venture Court in the complex, said Officer Adam Bernstein. Detectives then obtained a warrant for the arrest of a second suspect, 21-year-old Levon Coakley, who turned himself in Thursday, he said.

Both men have been charged with multiple counts of grand larceny, burglary and obtaining money under false pretenses, Bernstein said.

Burglars stole thousands of dollars in personal property during the break-ins, including computer equipment, videogame systems, jewelry and electronics, according to a police report.

Another burglary took place early Thursday morning. Someone stole $4,275 worth of property, including laptops, video games and jewelry.
