Experience Prosecutor for Virginia Beach, 1989-91; Virginia House of Delegates (84th District), 1992-2005; Virginia attorney general, 2006-2009 (resigned in February to run for governor)

Other U.S. Army: active duty, 1976-81; reserves, 1981-97, retired as a lieutenant colonel; business manager for Hospital Supply Corp.
