Joe Bonamassa - 'Live From The Royal Albert Hall'
“When Joe Bonamassa took the stage at The Royal Albert Hall, he fulfilled a dream he held since first picking up a guitar as a kid in upstate New York.” That’s the first sentence on the back of the new Joe Bonamassa “Live From The Royal Albert Hall” DVD.
Since his first professional gig at age 12, opening for B.B. King, Bonamassa has amassed more than 20 years of professional gigs. The result is some of the best live blues guitar playing that you’ll ever see.
“Live From The Royal Albert Hall” is a stunning double DVD that documents the young guitarist’s recent performance at the historic venue. As a boy, he vividly remembers seeing a video of Eric Clapton and Cream perform at the same venue, and it was that performance that cemented Bonamassa’s passion for the blues. The DVD is a visually and audibly spectacular take on his live show, but the special moment occurs when the teacher, Clapton, appears and performs alongside the student.
The visuals are crisp and colorful, and the sounds are wonderful.
Joe Bonamassa is the real deal, and this DVD is documented visual proof.
