Free wedding dresses for military brides-to-be

Maya Couture is joining Brides Across America by giving away free designer wedding gowns to military brides-to-be on Wednesday in honor of Veterans Day. The store is at 12 Best Square, Norfolk.

To qualify, brides must be engaged and be on active duty in the military or have a fiancé on active duty in Iraq or Afghanistan, according to a news release. Participants must show ID and a copy of deployment papers, orders or other qualifying proof. The event is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
