Pet Chat!
Yes, we’re having another Pet Chat with Dr. Lisa Holland!
Tomorrow, November 11th, Dr. Holland will be here to answer all your questions from 12:15 until 1:15. It’s a great way to spend your lunch hour.
Dr. Holland works with the Animal Medical Care Center in Yorktown. That’s the clinic I take Mac and Munch to. The vets and staff there are terrific. Anybody who can handle Mac has got to be good.
At our last Pet Chat, we had so many questions and only one hour. Dr. Holland couldn’t get to them all. They were great questions though. I‘m sure you have more questions considering all the pet food and pet medication recalls we’ve had recently.
So, get your questions ready and join us tomorrow at 12:15. We’re going to answer as many questions as we can in an hour. It should be great!

My 35 lb female dog is 18,
My 35 lb female dog is 18, is there anything special that I should be doing for her. She is in pretty good health, but her eyes and hearing are not the best, but she can still walk and run -
Thanks !
sheltie
my sheltie got a bacterial skin irritation several months ago. the vet gave us a spray to use and couldn't determine the exact cause. Three hundred dollars later no diagnosis...maybe allergies. Can I use an over the counter pray that treats skin infections in dogs instead of a repeat vet visit?
Advantix through the winter months
Do you recommend continuing Advantix through the winter months, or can my pocketbook take a temporary break? I live in VB, near the Lynnhaven River. Thanks!!
Here is a way to get it cheap...
I am not sure if you have a cat or dog, but the vets will tell you that you cannot use the dog flea medicine for cats, but it is the same thing. I buy the largest size for dogs in bulk online and measure it out for my cats. It comes out to only about $3 per dose that way and they even sell kits on EBay to do it. Check the seller, because you want the genuine product. The vets try to corner the market on this and they will try to tell you all sorts of reasons why you don't want to buy it online, but they make a killer profit, so who can blame them.
