Rihanna recounts horror; Oprah pulls Bebe off show

-- More of Rihanna's story: Rihanna on this morning described the horror she felt as her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown was biting and punching her during a violent argument in February, saying she saw "no soul in his eyes." "There was no person when I looked at him," the 21-year-old singer recalled during the second installment of an interview airing on ABC's "Good Morning America." "He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank."  Brown, 20, will recount his perspective in an interview to air Friday on MTV.

P.S. Rihanna's interview coincides with the debut of her new single, "Russian Roulette," from her upcoming album, "Rated R." More of the ABC interview will be included in Friday evening's news magazine "20/20." [AP]

-- Fake suicide on 'The Office': Some suicide prevention groups aren't laughing over a scene in "The Office" where Steve Carell's character tries to scare young children by struggling in a hangman's noose. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and other mental health organizations say NBC and other entertainers should stop using suicide as a punchline. They worry that depiction of a method of suicide might encourage mentally ill people to take their own lives. "We try not to be zealots about this," said Robert Gebbia, the foundation's executive director. "But this one ... kind of crossed the line." [AP]

-- Carrie is in loooove: Carrie Underwood may sing about heartbreak, but in real life she's found love with boyfriend Mike Fisher, giving the hockey player a shout-out on the liner notes of her new CD, "Play On." [People]

-- Elton is all better: Elton John has been released from a London hospital after being treated for flu and an E. coli bacterial infection. The singer's spokesman Gary Farrow says John was at home Friday and was feeling fine. He left the hospital early Thursday.[AP]

-- Jim Carrey's new site: Some people are really digging Jim Carrey's new personal Website, which has relaunched just in time for the remake of "A Christmas Carol," which The Virginian-Pilot's one and only movie critic Mal Vincent reviewed today. Go check it out. [Via PopWatch]

-- What's funnier? Conan O'Brien's apology to Levi Johnston or William Shatner's reading of Levi's real Twitter posts. [Via TMZ]

-- Oh... The Yankees - Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, and Derek Jeter - were on David Letterman. Do I care? Just feel the need for balance between late-night shows... for once. [via HuffPo]
