SUFFOLK

Police are looking for a man who cashed in a winning lottery ticket that was stolen during a store burglary.

The ticket was stolen last month during a burglary at the Holiday Food Store in the 3600 block of Pruden Blvd., according to a city news release.

The only things taken during the Oct. 18 burglary were lottery tickets, according to police. The burglary happened about 6 a.m.

About 40 minutes after the burglary, a man went into the Kangaroo Express in the 2800 block of Pruden Blvd. and presented a winning scratch off ticket, according to Debbie George, city spokeswoman.

She said she did not know how much the ticket was worth. The store paid the money to the man.

A surveillance camera got footage of the transaction. The man, who has dreadlocks, was wearing a gray hooded jacket or sweatshirt and dark pants.

Surveillance footage from the store that was burglarized showed a late model Chevrolet S-10 Blazer or GMC Jimmy, according to the release.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (562-5887).

Just one more

STUPID criminal. Just show you how GREEDY they can be. I cannot WAIT to see this guys mug shot....and VERY soon I am sure!!!!!

Why?

Why do these stories not give a better description of the culprit. It is obvious from the picture it is a black male. Why omit that from the story. Seems like an important characteristic.

CRIME doesnt have a color

Does it really matter what color the person is that committed the crime or any crimes! NO people just like to know so they can do there stupid graph about what race of people committed such crimes example( caucasan 25% murder)17% burglary) african american 25% murder 17% burglary) hispanic 25% murder 17% burglary)..you get it...CRIME IS CRIME no matter what race or gender committed it.....have a nice day with much love lol

soo...

Obviously you figured out that he was black without them writing it in the article. So what's the problem? If you're reading the article it's already a known fact that he's black because the picture is right there.
