Virginia health officials have confirmed two more swine-flu-related deaths, one of whom was a Virginia Beach man.
The Beach death and another of a man from the Thomas Jefferson health district bring to 29 the number of statewide deaths in people confirmed with having the H1N1 flu, or swine flu.
There have been five other H1N1-related deaths in Hampton Roads: one in Norfolk, two in Chesapeake, and two in the Western Tidewater Health District, which includes Suffolk, Franklin, Isle of Wight and Southampton County.
Larry Hill, spokesman for the eastern region of the Virginia Department of Health, said Friday he could not provide more details, including the dates of the deaths, because of privacy issues.
Last week, Virginia Beach resident Tamara Johnson said her husband died Nov. 6 at Sentara Bayside Hospital after being diagnosed with the H1N1 flu.
Allen Clinton Johnson, 42, came down with a fever the last week of October and was hospitalized about a week before he died.

Lack of vaccinations
It is so sad that people are dying from a preventable disease. If the vaccinations had been made available as promised we may not see the senseless deaths of so many people. There should be lawsuits against the CDC and the administration due to lack of supply AND the lack of coordination of distribution of the vaccinations.
Vaccine
The vaccine is available at the local health department, at least in Chesapeake. My whole family is vaccinated, you should be too. A lot of people are still not getting it because they think it isn't safe. By not getting it, you're pretty much just putting yourself at risk.
