A cold front is pressing towards Hampton Roads and showers and cooler weather will result.

Ahead of the front, winds are blowing from the southwest and the temperatures will warm into the upper-60s. A few spots may reach the lower-70s. After the front slides through this afternoon, winds will shift to the west and then to the northwest tonight. Temperatures will fall back down to the 60s and 50s.

Areas of rain will be likely late in the afternoon and evening. After the rain moves out, the skies will clear overnight and the temperatures will fall into the mid- 40s, even cooler inland. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-50s.

The next system will come through Wednesday afternoon and evening, bringing another round of wet weather. The upcoming weekend will be mostly sunny and chilly with highs near 50 and lows in the lower- to mid-30s.
