A senior from the College of William and Mary has been crowned Miss Virginia USA 2010.

Samantha Casey of Jeffersonton will compete in the Miss USA pageant April 28.

As Miss Virginia USA, she will travel around the state and the country to promote the state pageant and her platform, Love146, which is an organization to prevent child sex trafficking.

Casey, who is majoring in marketing, took the semester off to prepare for the pageant. In a news release from the school, she said she plans to take the next semester off as well to train and prepare for the national pageant.

She plans to return to William and Mary next fall.

Conert

Is this a real woman or a cross dressing freak like the home comming queen. At least W&M can say they have a real queen, in title and lifestyle.

Well done, young lady

BTW, anyone know what method they used to select that Homecoming (ahem) Queen we read about? Was it one vote per student, or one of those phony "buy your way in's" where votes are awarded for each penny, nickel, whatever, the candidate collects?

I hope that's not the guy

I hope that's not the guy W&M crowned homecoming queen...
