PHILADELPHIA

Ryan Craig scored 1:32 into overtime as the Norfolk Admirals defeated the Adirondack Phantoms 2-1 Friday night at the Wachovia Center.

During the overtime period, Scott Jackson forced a neutral zone turnover and sent Radek Smolenak and Craig on a two-on-one break.

Smolenak sent a feed from the left circle to Craig in the right circle for a game-winning one-timer.

The Phantoms (9-10-2-0) took a 1-0 lead 3:42 into the game when Ryan Dingle sent a shot from the left circle that Krys Kolanos redirected past Norfolk netminder Dustin Tokarski.

The Admirals (12-13-1-0) outshot the Phantoms 16-6 in the second period, tying the score 1-1 with 2:13 remaining when Smolenak took a Mike Lundin ricochet off the end boards and scored on a wraparound through the legs of Adirondack goaltender Jonas Backlund for his third goal of the season.

Tokarski (23 shots, 22 saves) earned the win. Backlund (35 shots, 33 saves) was saddled with the loss.

Norfolk was 0-3 on the power play. Adirondack was 0-1.

The Admirals travel to Hershey to face off against the Bears today at 7 p.m.

Note: The Tampa Bay Lightning recalled center Blair Jones from the Admirals on Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder was leading the Admirals in assists, was second in points and was tied for third in goals.

He played in the Admirals' first 25 games of the season, and his recall ends a stretch of 155 consecutive games played for the team - the second-longest streak in AHL Admirals history.

Jones' recall comes on the heels of a spectacular November, when he tied for second in the AHL in points (16) and was second in plus/minus (+11).
