Drugs contributed to Brittany's death; Carrie's ring!

-- No foul play for Brittany: While the LA coroner confirms "natural causes" for Brittany Murphy's death, others are saying it had to be the drugs. Dr. Cyril Wecht told the "Early Show" on CBS: "When you have a 32-year-old person dying suddenly, and especially a celebrity in Los Angeles, you can place your bet down that it's going prove to be a case of acute combined drug toxicity." On a different note, the Dec. 5 SNL parody, featuring cast member Abby Elliot portraying Brittany as a space cadet, has quietly disappeared from the Web. P.S. Why would anyone one want to see Brittany's death photo? It's the No. 1 ranked search on the Google as of this moment. (Pigs.)  Sorry if the search brought you here. Cube has opted for a photo slideshow celebrating her life:

-- Underwood's big diamond: Check out Carrie Underwood's engagement ring! She flashed it Monday night during the first period of a Ottawa Senators' home game. Aw! She was there to watch her fiance Mike Fisher play. I'm already in the habit of calling her Carrie Fisher. In case you missed it, Carrie and Mike got engaged Monday.

-- Your pets are bad for the environment: Great. If you own a pet, you are essentially an enviromental hazard. A new study, published in the book "Time to Eat the Dog: The Real Guide to Sustainable Living," says the carbon pawprint of a pet dog is more than double that of a SUV. Of course,  we could join the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement and not have children instead.  [AFP]
