Tidewater Community College ranked third in the use of digital technology among large community colleges, according to a national survey by the Center for Digital Education and Converge magazine.

The fifth annual Digital Community Colleges Survey judged colleges in several areas, including online registration, distance learning and tutoring. TCC's digital resources include a freshman online orientation program, distance learning and professional development labs for faculty on each of its four campuses.

Montgomery County Community College in Pennsylvania was listed first, and Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale came in second.

The Center for Digital Education is a national research and advisory institute.
