Swine flu vaccines to be given Thursday

NORFOLK

H1N1 vaccination shots and nasal spray will be administered to high-priority groups from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the city's health offices.

Those considered to have priority status include pregnant women, elderly residents, children, college students, teachers and those with chronic health conditions.

The vaccine will be available at the Norfolk Department of Public Health offices, at 830 Southampton Ave. Free parking is available in front of the building. For more information, call (757) 683-2860, 683-2796 or 683-2756.

Two new groups are now priority?

Are the elderly and teachers now considered priority groups according to the CDC?

Will other cities be following suit in adding these two groups of people? (Virginia Beach is vaccinating all school staff at the same time as students.)
