A 77-foot fishing trawler remains stuck on a sandbar off the Outer Banks.
The vessel Sheila Rene got stuck Friday night on the Oregon Inlet bar, the Coast Guard said. A Coast Guard crew was not able to free the boat Friday night.
About 7 a.m. Saturday, three people and a dog from the Sheila Rene were hoisted from the boat by helicopter because of worsening weather conditions.
The boat came free but became stuck again about 9 a.m.
