WILLIAMSBURG
Virginia State Police responded to a fatal crash at 7:03 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Barlow Road and Rochambeau Drive.
Steven Whitehead, 22, of the 100 block of Autumn East in Williamsburg, was traveling westbound at high speed when he lost control of his vehicle, said Sgt. Michelle Cotten, State Police spokeswoman. As a result, Whitehead ran off the road, and crashed into a tree.
No one else was in the vehicle, Cotten said. Whitehead was not wearing a seatbelt.
