DMV: New, updated licenses not available this weekend

The Department of Motor Vehicles won’t process new or updated driver’s licenses Saturday.

The Social Security Administration will conduct system maintenance tomorrow, so DMV customer service centers won’t be able to verify Social Security numbers to process licenses, according to the DMV.

Customers can receive a letter that will allow them to receive expedited service for licenses next week, a DMV notice says.

All DMV customer service centers will be closed Monday for Presidents' Day.
