Eagle

I saw one flying above the Chick Fil A on Hillcrest parkway. We stopped the car and watched...so cool.

I hope the bird is well.

Eagle

What a gorgeous bird! Those talons are incredible and the feathers are beautiful. But what caused the bird to not fly? It was a quick rehab. Glad it is now ok. I love watching the eagles on eaglecam at wvec.com.
Thanks for these great pictures.

Rehab

I'd be interested to know why it couldn't fly and what was the rehabilitation that helped it.

I saw an eagle

I just saw an eagle on Thursday in Chesapeake! I thought it was odd to see one in my neighborhood (Las Gaviotas). He swooped down and grabbed a fish out of a small lake on the 4th hole of the golf course. It was amazing to watch.

Been seeing eagles around Chesapeake too

I saw an adult and subadult (under 5 yrs old) locking tallons right over interstate 64 near the high rise bridge a few days ago. Also an adult landed next to a water hole at a Deep Creek church and over my head at my house in Deep Creek a few weeks prior. Then I saw the adult and subadult in a large pinetree near Dominion Blvd looking for fish I guess. I tried to get close but everytime the eagle took off. Keep looking --they are out there. I have been seeing them for three years now and seen them only in the winter time. I used to live in Ketchikan,Alaska where there are tons of eagles but to see them here is just amazing !

Nice Story

Nice Story and video! What a Majestic Bird, A jod well done...
