Sunrise this morning was beautiful with mainly clear skies, but variably cloudy skies will develop this afternoon and a few sprinkles or snow showers or flurries will be possible - mainly north - as moisture wraps around the storm system and is drawn back into Virginia.
Our local winds will increase this afternoon as the low intensifies as the big storm system spinning over the northeastern U.S. coast will still continue to have some impact on our weather.
Winds today will blow from the west at 15 to 30 mph with gusts possibly exceeding 40 or even 45 mph. Today's high will be in the 40s.
Later tonight, the winds will ease a bit. Tomorrow should be calmer as winds ease from the west at 10 to 15 mph. Highs tomorrow will reach the upper 40s. Sunday's high will be closer to 50.
By Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, there is the potential for nasty weather as a strong coastal storm may sweep up along the mid-Atlantic. A lot can change between now and then but you should watch for updates over the coming days. Enjoy the weekend!
