Several Democratic legislators on Tuesday blasted Virginia’s Republican Attorney General for his attempt to block the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gases and urged him to drop his lawsuits.
The suits, which Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli filed last month in U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, are a waste of money when the state is dealing with budget shortfalls, about 15 Democratic senators and delegates said.
“I urge the Attorney General to reconsider this crusade against real science,” said Sen. Donald McEachin, D-Richmond, who estimated it would cost Virginia between $250,000 to $500,000 to argue the case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. But McEachin acknowledged that there is little that he or the other legislators can do to dissuade Cuccinelli.
Cuccinelli filed the suits in the hopes that the EPA would reverse its finding that greenhouse gases are a danger to public health and global warming. Cuccinelli argued that the agency relied on flawed research, citing e-mails that showed some British climate scientists tried to suppress opposing data.
Cuccinelli called it “political science, not real science.”
A majority of scientists still agree that people are contributing to global warming, Democratic legislators said.

Heating, Cooling - Doesn't Matter, It's Redistribution of Water
What ever is going on with our planet has happened over and over across time. Water locked up in ice is once again being liberated to achieve a balance on the globe. Differencies in density between fresh and saline waters, add a dash of sunlight and heat, and the great pump called the oceans will equalize everything once again, in a few centuries. Once the coeans move their waters, there will be different conditions in certain areas. Droughts, floods, fires and all manner of planetary actions of displeasure to mankind will eusue and persist until the global job is accomplished. Virginia's AG believes he is part of this larger picture? What a flipping joke, not only to himself but the the Commonwealth as a whole. Jobs? Dude, you got one already so stay focused on the tasks at hand and represent the Commonwealth against the polluters of today, and the Bay. Your actions speak to a grander agenda, one beyond and no doubt exclusionary of Virginia. If all this was not so serious, not the weather but the AG's goofy actions, it would be laughable to the extreme.

Let's see... Scientists who were major proponents of global warming now say they made it all up. Other scientists who depend upon government grants for their livelihoods vehemently advocate global warming. Leaders and scientists from around the world met in Copenhagen to decide how they can save the planet by taxing America for global warming, and how much, and most importantly, whether they will spend the money on hookers or cocaine or both. The US government wants control of the energy industry and the ability to tax all of us based on a newly conceived carbon unit. The earth meanwhile has cooled and warmed repeatedly throughout it's history while humanity revealed it's incredible ability to adapt to these natural changes. And last but not least, Al Gore, inventor of the Internet, is the global warming movement's figurehead. Oh I could go on for hours. But based on the above alone, it's pretty safe to say that global warming is one giant financial scam. And many of you bought it hook, line, and sinker. I know it's not pleasant to admit when you're a gigantic fool. But we've had quite enough, thanks. BYEJ
One small group
of scientists out of the thousands studying this, but don't let facts get in you way. The jury is still out on climate change, regardless of what Hannity or Beck say. Until you read all the science, not just what is cherry picked by those two fools, you really can't judge this.
Accusing people of only being worried about hookers and cocaine without proof is scurrilous and immature. You generally are confrontational and insulting on these comment sections. It's time to discuss things as an adult, not the spolied little sycophant of the Church of Beck and Hannity.

Global Warming set aside, Cuccinelli shows extremely poor judgement in so many ways and has an extreme personality disorder. Cuccinelli is an extreme women hating right wing criminal who should never have been elected to be our state's top Law Enforcement Officer. The man is angry and he will go every lenght to support his EXTREME AGENDA, without a care for how much time and taxpayer money he wastes. He had time to go to Fairfax county and violate the Code of Law and Ethics to help a longtime friend, Ron Grignol further abuse against his ex-wife and use Grignol's children making sure they live primarily with this phony Father's and Men's Right's Activist when he should have been doing something worthwhile for the Commonwealth of VA and leaving them to live and learn from their decent, intelligent mother who has been torrmented for too long and taken to the cleaners. I wonder if he took leave that day when he most likely showed false documents to Judge Gayle Carr about Grignol's wife and TRIED to make a professional, hard working lady with look "unstable" and perhaps mentally ill. It's not just Republicans Richard. Most Americans understand that the "global warming" hysteria is about politics and not science. It is rubbish that some pass off as reality in order to further thier political goals. The global warming zealots just hope that if they keep repeating the lies over and over again they will be eventually thought of as truth. Why do they have to produce bogus data to try to fool people? They can photoshop all the pictures they want of polar bears floating on ice chunks, the earth is cooling and has been for almost 20 years.
