Kaine reacts to Cuccinelli's citizenship remarks

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine, the former governor of Virginia, rebuked his home-state attorney general Tuesday for making comments that seemed to question President Barack Obama's U.S. citizenship.

"I scratch my head in amazement that somebody in a position of that altitude would express and opinion like that," Kaine said of Republican state Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli's comments. "I read the transcript and what he said is that he posited that perhaps the president was born in Kenya, I think it was, and I think he said that is a reasonable hypothesis or something like that. It's ridiculous."

Speaking outside the White House, Kaine continued: "The president is an American citizen, duly elected by the voters. But some people just can't accept that. And they're still having trouble accepting that and I think that's what the attorney general is, maybe in that camp."

In a recording posted by a Virginia blogger Monday and reportedly dating to before Cuccinelli took office this year, the attorney general predicted that Obama's citizenship could "get tested … when he signs a law, and someone is convicted of violating it and one of their defenses will be, it is not a law because someone qualified to be president didn't sign it."

Cuccinelli later issued a statement saying he "absolutely" believes Obama is a citizen and was responding to a "hypothetical legal question" in the recording.

As the Hypothetical turns more Probable

The BHO eligibility evidence submitted by BHO & crew is far from conclusive or even substantial.
The related shuck & jive by BHO & crew reveals much more.

Another gem from our AG:

"We're gonna have our 7th child on Monday. And, for the very concerns you state, we're actually considering – as I'm sure many of you here didn't get a Social Security # when you were born, they do it now – we're considering not doing that. And a lot of people are considering that now, BECAUSE IT IS BEING USED TO TRACK YOU."

Ken was interviewed by Cathy Lewis before the election and I swear I was listening to Rush Limbaugh's far rightwing brother.

More Ken:

Q: Because we are talking about the possibility that he was not born in America.

Cucc: Right. But at the same time under Federal Rule 11, we gotta have proof of it.

Q: How can we get proof?

Cucc: That’s a good question... Someone is going to have to come forward with nailed down testimony that he was born in place B. You know, the speculation is Kenya. And that doesn’t seem beyond the realm of possibility.

Wow, can scary stories about

Wow, can scary stories about the Illuminati and new world order be far off? I don't think it is too much to expect Virginia's attorney general to be grounded in some reality other than political* reality.

*as the wedge document instructs he is playing to his base while ignoring anyone who doesn't agree with his bizarro world perspective. Virginian's if you are not a birther he is not interested.

Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli

This guy is proving more embarrassing everyday. He either is either nutty as a fruitcake or just has the inability to quiet his fantasies. Whatever the problem, he is really undercutting our confidence in the Attorney General's ability to render thoughtful and fair rullings of law. He forgets he is no longer in the legislature where he can get away with "small think".

He's the president, get over it!

For the 1,345 time he has produced a birth certificate. But the birthers have a much more sinister motive. They can't accept the fact this country has an African American president, and they will stop at nothing to discredit him. That's why we progressives have to stand ever watchful of the birthers, tea baggers, bigots, and all other right wingers who mean nothing but harm to this good and decent man. President Barack Obama.

Just looking for the facts

Speaking of liars.

You must really hate FOX

The birth certificate meme,

The birth certificate meme, the emphasis on his middle name, the new found fascination with the teleprompters are all symptoms of racist opposition to Obama. That is all there is to these "issues"
