A 19-year-old man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in September 2009 was taken into custody Wednesday in Virginia Beach.
Ryan Nelson Johns was being held in the Norfolk City Jail on charges including murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and robbery, said Chris Amos, Norfolk police spokesman.
He is being charged in connection with the shooting death of Adam Terrell Harris, 21.
On Sept. 4, Harris was in the parking lot of the Americas Best Value Inn on Military Highway when he was approached by a man and shot, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Johns was taken into custody without incident by Norfolk and Virginia Beach police in the 600 block of Edgevale Court about 4 p.m., Amos said.
