The Rosele |
The Rosele (pronounced rose-a-lee) theatre in the Ocean View section of Norfolk, shown here in the early 1950's, was across the street from Ocean View Amusement Park. Named for the owners' wife, the Rosele opened in 1939 and was torn down in 1975 (along with the rest of the commercial strip in the 100 block of W. Ocean View Ave.) to make way for the Ocean View Shopping Center which now occupies the site. The historic amusement park was demolished in 1979.

Owner
My father was in the theater business at the time in Norfolk. Who was the owner who named it after his wife Rosele?
