Girls soccer

Kara Natividad and Torrie Jackson each scored as the Cavaliers jumped to a first-half lead over the Wildcats in Thursday’s Maury Invitational at Powhatan Field.

Rachel Cousins added the third goal and first-year keeper Allison Savage finished with nine saves.

“We had to make some adjustments from Tuesday after our starting keeper (Gayle Summerlin) was out with a concussion,” Princess Anne coach Jenn Denkler said. Savage “was outstanding and our defense was solid.”

Nicole Liette scored two goals to help the Marlins upend the Braves.

Brittany Krause and Molly Jarrett each had two goals for the Falcons. Hayley Cook and Jessie Klamut scored a goal apiece as the Falcons thumped the Hawks.

Georgia Drinkwater scored in the 72nd minute to win it for the Oaks.
