Weather: Storm system should miss Hampton Roads

Posted to: News Weather

After a generally clear and chilly night Wednesday night with lows near 40, conditions today will be quite different.

Northern areas will be mostly sunny, while southern spots in North Carolina will see lots of clouds and a chance for a couple of showers.

That's all because of a storm system that is moving up the coast but which should pass just far enough south of us to prevent the rain from reaching Hampton Roads.

Highs today should generally be in the mid 60s with inland spots into the upper 60s.

For the remainder of the workweek and the start of the weekend, it will turn gradually warmer and stay at least partly sunny.
