Coaching resume Freeman is in his 12th season at Granby. He started as an assistant for the girls team under Allison Makovec before taking over the boys team.
Multi-tasking He was also the Comets wrestling coach, but stepped down to focus on soccer.
Playing days Freeman played at Chancellor High in Spotsylvania and was on the 1989 Group AA championship team.
Coaching highlights His teams won three straight Eastern District tournament championships from 2005-07.
Coaching philosophy He wants his student-athletes to understand that "mental toughness is essential to success."
