A Suffolk man was identified as the motorcyclist who died after a crash on the James River Bridge.
Garlon Turner, 60, was traveling south on the bridge about 8:45 p.m. Saturday when a high gust of wind pushed his motorcycle across the bridge and he then fell over the edge, Sgt. Michelle Cotten, Virginia State Police spokeswoman said.
Turner died at the scene.
Police closed the southbound lanes of the James River Bridge until about 10:20 p.m.
