A 15-year-old boy accused in the April 28 shooting at Woodrow Wilson High School was arraigned on additional charges Friday.
Police said the youth, who had been suspended, entered the school and fired shots into a classroom wall and into the ceiling of a crowded cafeteria.
The juvenile, who is not being named because of his age, allegedly brandished the gun to get someone inside to open a locked door, according to a summary read at an earlier hearing.
No one was injured, but the shooting sent students scrambling for safety and stoked fears about school security.
The teenager initially was charged with underage possession of a firearm, brandishing a firearm and discharging a firearm.
On Friday, he appeared in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court again and was arraigned on another weapons charge, one count of breaking and entering while armed with a deadly weapon, and two more counts of discharging a firearm while in a school.
The youth also was arraigned on two counts of assault and battery related to an April 23 incident.
A hearing is set for May 17. Commonwealth's Attorney
Earle C. Mobley has taken steps to try him as an adult.
The Virginian-Pilot generally does not name juveniles unless they are charged as adults.
