Hunter Byrnes spurred the Falcons (19-0) to the Beach District tournament title with two goals in the first half Thursday night at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.
The Falcons outshot the Cavaliers 16-6 and had a 6-0 edge in corner kicks.
Cox plays Oscar Smith in a 4 p.m. Eastern Region quarterfinal Tuesday at Old Dominion. Princess Anne faces Great Bridge at 6 p.m.

Great Bridge 2, Oscar Smith 0
Will Cason scored both goals, including a penalty kick in the 26th minute as the Wildcats (15-1-2) added the Southeastern tournament title to their regular-season championship.

Emory Camper’s goal in the 25th minute off an assist from Jessie Klamut earned the No. 1 seed Falcons the Beach District tournament title at the Sportsplex.
Goalkeeper Rachel King made three saves in recording her 14th shutout for Cox (17-1-1), which avenged its only regular-season loss to the third-seeded Dolphins.
The Falcons advance to Tuesday’s 4 p.m. Eastern Region quarterfinal against Southeastern District runner-up Great Bridge at Powhatan Field.
Ocean Lakes (14-2-3) plays Southeastern champion Grassfield at 6 p.m.

The Grizzlies (14-3-1) added the program’s first Southeastern District tournament title to their initial regular-season crown as Lexi Jones broke a scoreless deadlock in the 43rd minute.
Caroline Casey made eight saves in her 11th shutout of the campaign.
