Tidewater Conference tournament
Rain shortened the final round of the tournament to 14 holes, but didn’t cool off medalist Preston Leigh and his champion Greenbrier Christian teammates at Bide-A-Wee in Portsmouth.
Leigh shot an 6-under-par 50 for a 119 total to win by nine strokes, while Greenbrier’s 533 team finish was 18 shots ahead of runner-up Cape Henry and 28 better than No. 3 Walsingham.
Cape Henry’s Max Wagner and Norfolk Academy’s Ben Leon shared second place at 128. Aston Newsom of Greenbrier, the first-round leader with a 68, finished fourth at 129.
