Caitlin Uze of Arlington wins Miss Virginia pageant

ROANOKE

Caitlin Uze has been crowned Miss Virginia.

The 22-year-old James Madison University graduate from Arlington won after being the second runner-up in 2009. She competed as Miss Greater Richmond.

Uze earns a $16,500 scholarship for the achievement as well as a $500 scholarship for capturing the swimsuit competition.

Miss Virginia Beach Shannon Oliver was named third runner-up.

Miss Chesapeake Rosemary Willis, Miss Hampton Roads Ashley Smith, Miss Portsmouth Seawall Elizabeth Crot and Miss Tidewater Veronica Rohrmoser all finished in the top 10.
