VIRGINIA BEACH

It could take the title of "biggest restaurant in Hampton Roads."

Song Huang plans to open a restaurant featuring a buffet and hibachi in the former Comp USA store at 5957 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. in Norfolk. Huang has leased the 28,295-square-foot space, S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. announced.

Doug Aronson, who represented the tenant for Nusbaum, said the owner needs city approval for changes at the location but plans to offer a mix of Asian, European and American food and will be able to serve more than 400 people there. Huang also owns restaurants in Virginia Beach and Miami, he said.

Bigger is ALWAYS better!

You know, like big government, big trade deficits, big oil (spill).

Perhaps they might think of building some new condo units right next to it, with a waterslide park?

"Walk to everything!!" could be the sales logo.

sounds like

you're the latest contestant on "6 degrees of blame Obama"!!! Pilotonline's newest game. All you have to do is take any news topic....ANY one....and somehow make it Obama's fault. It seems to be a pretty popular game.

We've come a long way...

...it only takes 2 degree's to blame Bush. Not that an AYCE joint on the "Dirty Blvd" has anything to do with Obama or Ghent for that matter.

Seldom see a thin person at an acye

Ever notice how you seldom see a thin person at an ayce buffet.

400 seat

With so many obease people in the USA that's just what we need a 400 seat buffett .The surrounding area is not safe. I stop going to buffett's .Buffett eating people are not considerate, let kids pick in the food..So go on and gorge yourself have fun.

Men we don't need more food

Men we don't need more food places to replace CompUSA, we need a Fry's electronics! A playa' needs some electrolytic capacitors and some 74LS series logic ICs once in a while. And Hampton Roads is pretty dry of these important goods after 5pm.

I don't know about anyone else

But I will not be sharing my dinnertime eating space with 400 other people! It just sounds like chaos to me.

And, it's a buffet! Ewwwww...400 people breathing on food, coughing, sneezing, maybe touching...too many people for my comfort level! It would be interesting to see how they plan to manage the health department regulations.

I don't go to any AYCE buffets, not after I saw how a particular large chain buffet restaurant cleans up.

Good luck!

Ages ago I remember some

Ages ago I remember some roomates and myself went to a Golden Corral. The employees would toss some meat out on the buffet and a swarm of people would crowd to get it. It was amusing.

How many Chinese buffets

How many Chinese buffets does one neighborhood need? IN fact, there used to be one in that very shopping center...and they went out of business why???
