fake numbers

do not put any faith in any numbers you see on unemployment stats. they are intently misleading us all just so they will not have to help the people that really need it. look at virginia's numbers they change daily .started at 7.0 percent for June went to 7.1 and now it is 7.6 they show the lowest just long enough to keep the amount of weeks to claim unemployment down to 86 weeks and now today 7.6 June rates should of been good enough for them to receive 99 weeks.any one with any sense at all knows that the rate is over 10 percent.research this yourself. and send the list of all these companies hiring down there. and help the poor people from currituck.your being lied to and manipulated. and don't tell anyone but they just sent 400 million to pakistan you know where they burn our flag on the streets. and i think it is 5 out of every six people asked if they like Americans say no. and want death to us all. and I'm sure they sent more. and just will not tell the truth. but they will not help there own shame! shame! shame!

Positive IS Better

I agree with the other commenter....why be negative when this is great news and should have been written in the POSITIVE!

What is the rate

Probably the reason is so low is that the largest % of the people in Currituck really work in Va. Moyock is the most populated area of the county and the majority of them work in Govt. It is not because the economy is great in Currituck or they have great Leaders!

Let's get positive here!

Come on, headline writer! This is good news - get a positive mindset! "Currituck has highest employment rate in North Carolina" sounds so-so-so much better! After all, the expectation is that people will be employed, right?
